The Winter Outfit I'm Loving

My style has evolved a lot over the years, but the one thing that will never change is I love me some winter fashion! When the air starts to chill, my fashion senses start tingling and my creativity roars.

I’m a size 8/10, with a pear shape, so my hips/thighs are always the thickest parts of my body. When I want my hips to appear slimmer, I look for quality compression pants or leggings like THESE or THESE. The ones here are technically shape wear and they hold me in better than some of my high end leggings. Plus, they’re fleeced, and perfect for winter. The best $8 I’ve ever spent!

The key to any winter look is layering, and this turtleneck bodysuit is hands down my top winter staple. The printed cardigan was a different choice for me, but I’m glad I tried something new. Plus it’s from an up and coming brand by influencer Jalisa Vaughn, and we love supporting black owned brands!

I honestly think the accessories make this look. The red beret is chic snakeskin, which compliments the Zebra print of the cardigan. This one is sold out, but here is another option. I belted the top with my favorite waist belt. To match the hat without being too “match -y”, I added my Telfar mini. Those bag sell like hot cakes, so here is a similar bag for less.

The designer sunglasses are the cherry on top of the look and I actually purchased them in-store for a major steal, but here are a similar pair. I added the thigh high boots because what is sweater weather without a chunky leather boot? A waste, that’s what it is.

I hope you enjoy this look! It’s literally one of my favorites. I’m a neutral fashion lover with pops of color and this outfit nails it with a high/low budget mix. This one definitely had me feeling like a boss.
